Yuk Bikin DIY Vanilla Coffee Hair Mask for Every Day Use

DIY Vanilla Coffee Hair Mask

Belum pernah pakai hair mask? Sama!

Tapi masa PSBB lalu bikin saya mulai pake hair mask for every day hair treatment. Gara-garanya adalah rambut semakin panjang tapi salon masih tutup. Saya terbiasa dengan rambut pendek, jadi ketika rambut mulai panjang menyentuh bahu, saya merasa rambut jadi susah diatur dan ujung rambut kering – mungkin nutrisi ga nyampe ke ujung rambut yak? Tampaknya rambut butuh asupan gizi tambahan nih. Jadi, dengan considering stock bahan-bahan yang ada, I made this hair mask. This hair mask is lightweight sehingga bisa saya pakai tiap hari.

Dengan usia di atas 40, my hair is greying, but as much as I want to color my hair, saya sensitive terhadap bahan kimia, that includes hair color. I have watched some YouTube videos on how to color hair naturally yang salah satunya pakai kopi sebagai pembilas rambut setelah selesai shampooing. I have tried it before but it did not have a real effect on my hair. Hope it works!

Now, let’s make this moisturizing yet lightweight coffee hair mask.

  • 2 Glass beakers

  • Glass stirrer

  • Digital scale

  • Botol 250ml – I use glass bottle with pump

  • 20gr Vegetable Glycerine – moisturising property

  • 1 gr Guar gum - thickener

  • 120gr Coffee brewed water

  • 1gr Pro-vitamin b5 (Panthenol) – moisturizing agent

  • 4gr Hydrolysed silk protein – add luster, shine, volume and manageability to hair

  • 5gr Cocamidopropyl betaine – natural surfactant, coconut derivative

  • 12gr BTMS 50 – conditioning emulsifier

  • 8gr Cetearyl alcohol – thicken, stabilize the formulation sekaligus juga melembabkan

  • 14gr Coffee infused coconut oil – moisturizing and protecting hair from protein loss and damage

  • 14gr Coffee infused grapeseed oil - adds moisture, strength, and shine

Cool down - phased

  • 1gr preservative – I use phenoxyethanol

  • 0.2gr Vanilla extract

How to Make

  1. Measure all ingredients

  3. Campurkan xanthan gum ke dalam glycerine. Stir and mix them well

Stir them well

Mix them well using wick

  9. Setelah 10 menit, masukkan cool down phase ingredients. Aduk lagi

  10. Leave it cool. Pindahkan ke dalam botol kaca

  11. Your vanilla coffee hair mask is ready to use

How to Use

  2. Leave it for 15-30 minutes (supposed to be, but I leave it only 5 minutes since I use it every day)

  3. Ideally, use it twice per week

  • Here is how to make infused oil

  • Feel free to substitute coconut oil and grapeseed oil with other carrier oil yang cocok dengan kondisi rambut – bisa pakai minyak kemiri atau argan oil
