Homemade Smoky Spicy Pan-roasted Almonds

Almond disebut sebagai salah satu super food yang wajib jadi cemilan buat yang usianya udah above 40. This tasty, portable snack, mengandung monounsaturated dan polyunsaturated yang dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol buruk dalam darah (LDL). Almonds juga mengandung Vitamin E dan Magnesium, sekaligus memngandung antioksidan untuk melindungi sel tubuh kita dari radikal bebas (oxidative stress) yang merupakan contributor utama penuaan dan penyakit.


Bikin spicy roasted almonds ini simple, easy dan quick. You can always roast almonds in the oven, tapi berhubung my kitchen is minimalist dengan peralatan masak yang very basic, I use my pan to roast my almonds. Resep ini juga gampang di-modify – termasuk tingkat kepedasannya. So, save your money by making yourself seasoned almonds and have the perfect snack for people over 40 (and those looking for healthy snack).


Equipment

  • Pan alias wajan anti lengket

  • 1 set sendok ukur

  • Bowl/ mangkok

  • Airtight container or toples


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole almonds

  • 1 teaspoon jinten bubuk

  • 11/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon garam – I use pink Himalayan salt

  • ½ teaspoon smoked seasoning (optional)

  • 2 tbsp hot chili/pepper sauce (optional)

  • 2 tbsp oil – I use olive oil


Roasting Almonds tanpa Oven



How to Make

  1. Sangrai (tanpa minyak) almonds di atas pan selama 3-5 menit. Sisihkan

  2. Di bowl terpisah, campurkan minyak dan powdered herbs. Aduk rata

  3. Masukkan isi bowl ke dalam pan, panaskan

  4. Setelah minyak panas, masukkan almonds dan aduk rata

  5. Masukkan chili sauce dan aduk lagi sampai rata

  6. Angkat almonds dari pan. Let it cool

  7. Enjoy your homemade spicy hot almonds!






Notes

You can use Samyang hoy & spicy sauce supaya rasanya lebih mirip Samyang almonds


Simpan almonds dalam airtight container and consume it within 2 weeks – no need to store it in the fridge
