No Bake Triple Choco Energy Balls: Bikin Cemilan Coklat yang Ngenyangin



No-Bake Triple Chocolate Energy Bites



Pagi ini habis baca judul di sebuah situs komunitas UMKM yang di-share di WA Group dengan judul “Cokelat, Primadona UMKM di Masa Pandemi” yang isinya selain kisah sukses salah satu merek coklat, juga tentang manisnya berbisnis makanan yang menggunakan coklat such as brownies, cookies dan sejumlah macam cake dengan coklat. No, I don’t have any plan to jump into the chocolate business. While I usually prefer savoury snacks, saya ga nolak lho untuk cemilan coklat. Huh, jadi pengen ngemil coklat



For the love of chocolate, I have different types of chocolate in my fridge – mulai coklat chips untuk bikin overnight oats, susu coklat, dark chocolate for baking, chocolate spread sampai kental manis coklat. Nah, setelah audit isi kulkas, I really have to use this kental manis – I really forget why I bought this Kental Manis in the first place but I don’t want to waste it. Jadi bikin-bikin kali ini saya memanfaatkan bahan dalam kulkas yang lama tidak terpakai – tapi belum kadaluarsa lho ya – kental manis dan chocolate spread.



To balance between high sugar content ingredients and healthy ingredients, so here I make triple choco energy balls yang bahannya coklat semua dan dijamin bikin kenyang. Cemilan ini perfect for afternoon snack sambil minum kopi (I recommend: coffee latte) – have 2 or 3 balls will be enough if you still want to have your dinner, atau bisa juga buat sarapan pagi kalo pas lagi buru-buru.




Equipment

  • Non-stick pot/saucepan/pan

  • Silicone spatula

  • Set of Sendok ukur

  • Airtight container

  • Food grade sarung tangan plastik



Ingredients:

  • 11/2 cup rolled oat

  • 1 tbsp chia seed

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • ½ cup susu kental manis coklat (optional)

  • 3 tbsp chocolate spread – I use Ceres spread Double Hazelnut

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder – I use Nutrilite Chocolate Hi Protein Powder

  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips

  • 2-4 tbsp water



How to Make

  1. Siapkan susu kental manis dalam suhu ruangan (ini karena saya simpannya di dalam kulkas)

  2. Siapkan pan, masukkan rolled oats dan toast/sangria sampai wangi

  3. Angkat pan dari api, masukkan cacao powder, chia seed dan protein powder

  4. Mix them well, kemudian tambahkan susu kental manis dan choco spread

  5. Mix again. Tambahkan air sesuai selera, sesuai dengan tekstur yang diinginkan

  6. Masukkan chocolate chips

  7. Setelah tekturnya cukup liat, bentuk bulat-bulat dan letakkan di tray

  8. Masukkan ke dalam kulkas to allow the mixture to be stiffed

  9. After 30 minutes, enjoy your triple choco energy balls!



Notes

Sangrai rolled oats bertujuan agar lebih edible, tidak terlalu chewy. Toasted oats membuat rasanya lebih nutty. You can opt to skip this step


Saya sengaja menggunakan pan sebagai mixing bowl (mencampur semua ingredients) karena panas dari pan membantu chocolate spread untuk melted easily


Energy balls ini bisa tahan selama 1 minggu di kulkas. Simpan dalam air tight container
